Most of us suffer from split ends. This happens when your hair gets dry, brittle or tangled. Split ends can turn up to major hair problem, if it is not prevented and treated properly. So, to do that you should know what are split ends? what are the causes and how it can be treated?

What are the causes of split ends?

• Coloring and perming are one of the main causes for split ends.
• Brushing your hair too much can also lead to split ends problem. Sometimes bak combing and poor quality brushes can lead to the problem.
• Regular use of hair drier and improper use of hair clips may also cause split ends. Another major cause is irregular hair trimming.
• Lack of conditioning in the hair is also a cause for split ends.

What are the treatments for split ends?
Split ends can’t be repaired or mended. Treatments are the only way to get rid of split ends.

• The best and permanent treatment for split ends is to trimm your hair regularly.
• Dryness is another major cause for split ends. So, you should apply conditioner regularly while washing you hair. This will keep your hair moisturized and prevent from split ends.
• Don’t use any kind of hot hairstyling equipments like hair driers, flat ironers or curly irons etc. Even if you are using a hair drier, then don’t place the drier near to your hair and never put the temperature at a higher level.
